Christine's Dog Grooming Parlour - About Us

Christine Cadger Christine's is a specialist dog grooming salon in Edinburgh. With our highly skilled and trained staff we offer your dog all the care and attention we would give our own.

Our salon offers a complete range of grooming services from simple nail clipping to full nose-to-tail treatment.

The business was set up in 1964 by the owner Christine Cadger and is an extremely popular salon. This is a result of the dedication and commitment from Christine and her staff. Our work is of the highest standard and our experience over this time is immense, having dealt with a range of breeds and temperaments. In our view a dog groomer provides a service for life.

Testimonials

Just a wee note to say that I have had 4 Maltese Terriers over the last 20 years. Sophie, Zoe, Megan and Gypsy have been very much loved and groomed many times at Christines. The staff and service provided are second-to-none and the extra care and love shown to all the animals makes the trip to Gorgie one my pets enjoy as well.

Love and kisses and continued success to you all.

Lorna and Gypsy Raeburn, Blackness.

We have taken our Standard Poodles to Christines for grooming for the past several years. Christine and her staff are very helpful when seeking appointments; we always get a friendly reception on grooming day, and the dogs come out beautifully groomed.

Mike & Janet Kitchen, Aberlady, East Lothian.

Lucky Poodle (2)

Matt, a stray pedigree poodle, was picked up by SSPCA inspectors after becoming hopelessly entangled in a bramble bush near Dalmeny Station. SSPCA inspector Alison Cox said the dog had probably never been groomed. The coat was in such bad condition that it could have caused ear problems, blindness and even suffocation. He should have been sheared every two to three months and groomed regularly. After a lengthy session at Christine's Dog Parlour, a new and happier dog appeared. Now Matt is to be fostered.
